The Public Health Authority of the City of Prague
has detected Legionella in one riser of the domestic hot water system at the Blanice dormitory.
For this reason:
- It is prohibited to use hot water from the Blanice dormitory water system for consumption or cooking.
- Limit showering and avoid inhaling water aerosol produced during showering.
The situation is being handled by a specialized company through chemical disinfection, chlorination, and cleaning of the water system.
Thermal disinfection will be carried out by raising the temperature to approximately 70 °C (be aware of the risk of scalding).
The exact date of the thermal disinfection will be announced in due course.
